"Teaching your children to talk - The power of verbal behavior" - Presented by Dr. Gabrielle Lee
This talk is a brief introduction of Skinner's Verbal Behavior. It will focus on the theory and its applications, especially teaching children with intellectual disabilities to use langauge in communicating what they want. The participants will learn to identify appropriate teaching opportunities and implement relevant procedures to teach their chidlren to speak in their daily life.

Impairment in social functioning is a central feature in ASD. Many individuals with ASD desire social involvement; however, they typically lack the necessary skills to interact effectively. This presentation will focus on a variety of strategies that can be implemented.
